Notice your inner wars.
I just came across a wonderful meditation on ´stopping the war within´.
On the contrary to many modern spiritual practices, it doesn´t ask you to ignore, oppress or glorify your inner wars, it asks you to simply sit with them, be present with them, ease into them.
Feel into each part of your body, be present with any tensions, pains you have been battling in your body.
Now breathe softly and relax your body and heart with each body battle you sense.
Now notice your mind and heart. Are there any thoughts, feelings, sensations that come up and that you might try to change or ignore? Be present, breathe with them and soften your heart.
Let each of those inner battles you have been fighting, be present.
Now, invite each part of you to come sit with you at the peace table.
